doing bad karmas is far better than not knowing the bad and good of karmas ((papa punya karmas) , as humans have a capacity of knowing what is good and what is bad so they are mainly attacked or harassed by such bad deeds. But it is a different issue regarding animals, when it comes to animals they don't have a mental strength to know what is good or bad so the animals are not troubled by bad deeds which they do with out knowing that it is bad.
so we should try to know what is good or what is bad (papa punya karmas)  if we don't do so we will be in more trouble than doing the karmas
above 14 years every human will be blamed for not knowing Dharma and Adharma, below 14 years the parents of those children will be blamed for not letting their children to know dharma adharma (good and bad)

A) For pitru kaaryams any gotram brahmin can be called but the first choice is a brahmin of other gotram, if in case other gotram brahmin is not available  and in a compulsory situation our gotram brahmin can also be called but compulsorily we should apply gopichandanam and chakraadi mudras on our body.

A) when we apply gopichandanam urdhwa naamam and apply kunkumam or akshatam by slitting in the middle, from then onwards the urdhwa naamam along will kunkumam will be filled with sri lakshmi narayana's abode. gopichandanam means lord naarayana's abode, kunkumam means goddess lakshmi's abode.


note: if we don't slit the urdhwa gopichandana naamam the presence of goddess lakshmi and lord narayana will be vanished. Hence compulsorily we have to slit the urdhwa namam which is applied on the fore head.
